WOW thank you so much for writing this. I didn’t think I’d agree with it when u saw the title, because I actually loved this movie when it came out. But you described to me the exact reason why I loved it. It was misogyny wrapped up in a pretty bow promising women’s empowerment, and I totally fell for it! I’ll have to rewatch!
