What annoys me most about this debacle is that the people who are defending Rogan’s right to be ignorant are acting as if he’s some sort of victim of cancel culture…. Why is the word censorship even being used here? It’s not like he’s being arrested for speaking.

He could potentially be deplatformed. Deplatforming and censoring are not at all the same thing. His rights would not be taken away. He would have every right to continue spreading whatever bull shit he wants, just not on Spotify.

However it’d be naive of me to believe that there’s even one iota of a percentage chance that Spotify will remove him. So all of this talk is quite pointless until someone bigger decides to remove their music, which I also doubt will happen.
