This is what kept us in the dark for so long. I'm still not only educating myself on the specifics of these micro-aggressions but also giving myself permission to speak out when they're said to me. It's challenging because we're so used to accepting this behavior our entire lives. it takes a lot of gumption and unshaken confidence to combat the inevitable gaslighting that will come after. "I obviously didn't mean it that way," or "That's not what I said.."
