A few of the comments your getting are ignoring the fact that women make up less than 20% of film directors as of 2021, but for decades it’s been shockingly less. It’s been the male perspective in media. Everywhere you look.
“Men don’t watch movies about women because they can’t relate just like women don’t watch male movies they can’t relate too” is preposterous. These “Male” films have been shoved down our throats. And no, a majority of them are not at all balanced in both male and female perspective.
No. Just no. It’s the male gaze. As if the majority of male directed films have been at all marketed towards or written considering a female perspective. Come on guys…
